Nicky Spadafino has dedicated nearly 30 years to helping addicts and alcoholics find recovery. He has created programs in Orange County, CA and Palm Desert, CA that have helped many find the structure, life skills and accountability needed to maintain sustainable recovery.
Nicky's no-nonsense approach is extremely effective for the client motivated for recovery. "If you are willing to go to any lengths for drugs and alcohol, you need to go to any lengths for your recovery; your recovery MUST come first." Nicky, knows recovery takes work, and some are not ready to do that work, but for those that are Palm Desert Recovery Center will go the distance in supporting them in their care, working through their fear, pushing through their blocks, reframing sabotaging beliefs and building the life they were meant to live.
Dr. Bondon Olesnicky, M.D.
Dr. Olesnicky is a Board Certified Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine Physician. He attended St. George’s University School of Medicine and completed his residency at St. Barnabas Medical Center as well as Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. Dr. Olesnicky has dedicated his life to the treatment of chronic diseases and ailments with great proficiency and compassion for those in his care.
Dr. Ryan Wright, M.D.
Dr. Wright is a Board Certified Psychiatrist currently practicing in Newport Beach, CA. He provides general psychiatric services for adult patients who are experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, thought disorders and eating disorders.
For every new patient, Dr. Wright provides a comprehensive initial psychiatric assessment and offers subsequent mental health treatment, including medication management and individual psychotherapy.
Cody Kennedy MSW, CADC-II, ICADC
Cody Kennedy holds a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Social Work both from California State University, San Bernardino. In addition, he is a state certified alcohol and drug counselor II (CADC-II) as well as an internationally certified alcohol and drug counselor (ICADC) who has worked in the addiction treatment field for the last decade. Recovery from Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and co-occurring life struggles has been a passion of Cody’s for well over a decade, both on a personal and professional level. He has worked with a range of diverse clientele from across the socio-economic spectrum, and has taken on the duties at Palm Desert Recovery Center to oversee the clinical services provided through the intensive outpatient (IOP) aspect of the program while taking on the task of creating a treatment environment which embraces the fluidity and growth necessary in our ever-changing local, state, national, and global environment.
Director of Operations
Matt Carpenter holds a Bachelor’s of Arts in Sociology from William Paterson University of New Jersey. He offers compassion, knowledge and support in many areas. Matt is alumni to Palm Desert Recovery and has been affiliated with our program for the last 3 years. He is currently our sober living manager and works closely with our outpatient substance abuse program. Matt serves as peer support to many of the clients in our program. He continually reaches out and strives to make a positive impact in the community.
